Sure, it's second nature to me by working on Eclipse for this long now. 

Does it make sense to raise this as a bug, so that people can vote on it? Or would everyone prefer to discuss/vote on the list?

I think discussing on the list is fine. Until we have reproducible builds and the basic things going as an Eclipse project, we should take it a bit easy. I would like to see us have build and update site soon for the EGit/JGit work.
