If you follow the whole saga end-to-end inhttps://github.com/eclipse-pde/eclipse.pde/issues/378 then you'll noticethat a quick-fix was not possible because of a bug in the API toolswhere it was treating org.eclipse.pde.core as source bundle, but onlybecause a org.eclipse.pde.core.source extension point was added to theorg.eclipse.pde.core plugin.xml as part of the change...
