+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #474628 +++

The SWT GTK+ 3 port has a few outstanding issues on the latest Linux distributions. This is the main bug which keeps track of the remaining bugs that were not addressed in 4.6 and need to be fixed for improving the GTK+ 3 support as part of the Oxygen (4.7) release.
