In the long term I would like to have Tycho as extensible that you can combine most of Tycho’s packaging types into one. Currently, this is not the case because much of Tycho’s behaviour is hard coupled to the packaging type name.

I have this pattern to combine a top level feature and the product configuration in the same feature.

 

Is this possible with tycho? Will it be able to build the product because the feature and the product share the same pom?
