Hi Dan,
That would be great if you can submit a bug describing the elements you
want to add or modify. But before this, I'll try to generate the ecore
file from the Tuscany XDS schema. I hope that I will find some time to
do this before the end of this week. I'll keep you informed ASAP.
I have several questions:
- Do you want that we update the tools according to Tuscany 1.4 or to
Tuscany 2.0? Is there any differences beetween these two versions (from
type definition viewpoint)?
- For the next SCA Tools releases, does it make sense for you to have a specific MM for each version of
Tuscany? Or one for the 1.x branch and an other for the 2.x branch? or
only one corresponding to the last stable version of Tuscany?

For the moment, the best solution is to submit a bug in the SCA project bugzilla, in the "model" component. [0]
You can either attach your ecore file to your bug, or provide a description of the elements you want to add or modify in the model.
The changes will then be added to the editors.

Back in December there was a thread about supporting additional Tuscany bindings and implementation models [1]. Aside from updating the Tuscany meta model for the Eclipse STP tools in tuscany.ecore, what other technical steps are needed to support these types? I am quite new to EMF and its modeling framework, but I assume after updating the model and a rebuild of STP, the new features would appear in the tool as options for a Tuscany implementation of a composite? Is anyone currently working on providing these? If so I can provide assistance (as I am a contributor on the Tuscany project).
