Christoph,

The application command line is sent to the debugger once it is  
launched, so no need to worry about that.

What is the -x OMP_NUM_THREADS argument for? Are you running an OpenMP  
program? It might be better to start with a simple MPI program until  
we can get that working.

Are you starting Eclipse from the command line, or using KDE or Gnome?  
Can you try starting it from the command line and see if you get any  
logging?
