Re: [mosquitto-dev] Version 1.6 released

Hi Tatsuzo,

I have considered whether to carry on support for the previous
versions since the 1.4 release. The plan currently in place is to keep
providing service releases for the current minor release, until the
next minor release. In addition, security patches are provided for
versions that are currently packaged by third parties, such as 1.4.x
on Ubuntu. Providing ongoing support and new releases for e.g. 1.5.x
when 1.6.x and the next minor/major version are both being worked on
is something I would like to offer, but in practice this would have to
be a paid for support offering, or come from work provided by someone
such as yourself. If either of those are something you'd like to
pursue, let's have a chat about it.

Regards,

Roger
