Re: [mdt-papyrus.dev] Oomph issues

Hi Christian,

I also had some problems with oomph.

ð  It’s no working (at all?) very well with the previous update mechanism. For mars :

o   I installed with Oomph

o   Got papyrus 1.0.x since there is no milestone update site for 1.1.0

o   Tried the old update mechanism on the installation (reflex)

o   Then got an installation with papyrus feature 1.1.0 but plugins 1.0.0

o   Is Oomph supposed to work correctly with the old process?

ð  I also got the same problem with the working directories

ð  Last, the internal update of Oomph installer never worked on my pc. I have to download the new version each time. Did you run into the same problem ?

Another question :

I wanted to create a setup with papyrus perspective at the first opening , I managed to set papyrus at the default perspective but it didn’t worked for the first opening.

Do you have any ideas ? Suggestion?

Regards,

Benoit

Hi, Gabriel,

I suspect that the location pattern filters that the setup model specifies for working sets don't work on Windows, perhaps because of the colons or backslashes in the Windows-style file paths.

I'm working on an overhaul of the setup model and shall ensure that the working sets don't do any filtering based on filesystem paths.

I'll keep you posted,

Christian

Hi Christian,

I re-ran the setup from within the workspace but the result is identical, a bad build of working sets. I was careful to look the log during use but nothing wrong happened. I attached corresponding setup log file.
This is not blocking but I don't understand why only this task fails while others, from my point of view more complex, succeed.

Hi, Gabriel,

Yes, I've seen that on occasion, that the working sets aren't configured at all, but usually that's because something went wrong in the project import phase.  Do you see any problems indicated in the Oomph log?  Re-running the setup from within the workspace (the yellow and green arrows button in the toolbar) might clear up the problem.

Cheers,

Christian

Hi Christian,

I have just tested new setup model and I was able to create an IDE based on Eclipse Luna MDT without no major trouble. Thanks.
Only met issue is about the build of working directories. When build is finished, working directories were created but no projects were imported inside despite correct import of projects in common working directory "Other projects".

Gabriel

Hi, Gabriel,

The Papyrus setup model now no longer installs EcoreTools into your IDE.  Let me know if you have any further trouble.

Hi Team,

I tried to build my IDE with Oomph for both versions (Luna and Mars) but I always have the same error during dependencies resolution.
I used build 453 of Oomph installer.
The log file is attached for both tries.

Regards

Gabriel
