RE: [gmf-dev] M4 Milestone Update Proposal

Hi Fred,

This seems to be fine, as the tooling side will just wrap up new features before year’s end.  I’ll update the web page and project status log with the new date for M4 as Jan 13, 2006.

This does put us in violation of the “train” agreement of releasing +2 weeks after the Platform, but I think the circumstances justify it (besides, we have no dependent projects… yet).

Thanks,

Rich

Oops... I was not aware of this, sorry guys.

Something to consider is that although the proposed extended iteration does not improve the half-staffed end-of-iteration situation, it at least gives a true 6w iteration for members of all geographies.

Hi Fred,

Russian holidays occur in early-mid January, so I’m not sure this makes it any better from the tooling side.  So, let’s get some feedback from the team… thoughts?

Thanks,
Rich

[gmf-dev] M4 Milestone Update Proposal

Hi Rich,

Because we don't expect many people to be around stabilizing M4 during the last two weeks of the year, I would like to propose an exception to our usual Eclipse +2w pattern by moving the milestone date two weeks later. The proposed M4 would be Jan 13th 2006.

   Thanks
