Excellent, I look forward to the patches
;). As a first step I wouldn’t mind enabling the choice of file system on the
new project wizard. I have an idea for a simple file system that we can put in the
test plug-in to test the affects of EFS without having to work with a full
blown remote system. Thanks for this Greg!

better start doing something about it. :-) I've created a wiki page to document
what needs to be done here: http://wiki.eclipse.org/CDT/designs/EFS.

posted the plan I captured at the summit for CDT 5 to the Planning section of
the wiki. Please feel free to edit. Note that these are just proposals until
bugs are created with the CDT 5.0 target milestone set, at which point they
become commitments.

created the 4.0.3 milestone (end of Feb 08) to go along with the 4.0.2 (end of
