Description Mass Dosage CLA 2005-02-18 04:19:30 EST
I have seen this bug (or variations on it mentioned before - see 79964 and
83821) but they were both marked as invalid as VM errors. I am experiencing the
exact same problem on Suse Linux 9.1 using Eclipse 3.1M4-GTK on a variety of
Sun's 1.4 JDK's. Whenever Eclipse starts up ant tries to open one of my projects
created with Eclipse 3.01 it crashes with the error:

#
# HotSpot Virtual Machine Error, Internal Error
# Please report this error at
# http://java.sun.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi
#
# Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (1.4.2_07-b05 mixed mode)
#
# Error ID: 43113F32554E54494D45110E4350500308
#
# Problematic Thread: prio=1 tid=0x084fe440 nid=0x28b2 runnable
#

Reporting this to Sun doesn't seem to help as they then ask what third party
software was being run and then say that this should be reported to the third
party vendor. All my other java applications seem to work just fine, it's just
eclipse that crashes. Eclipse seems to work OK if I change the default workspace
and create a new project from scratch but as soon as I open one of my other
projects it crashes. There are no eclipse logs generated at all.
