Suggest to add command with no key-binding. Users can assign a binding as desired. (I don't know of a standard "clear" key).

Verified in Eclipse SDK Version: 2020-09 (4.17) Build id: I20200708-0600 And one correction to my last comment. I actually merged the variant with binding so Ctrl+L in console view now clears the console.

I would leave it as it is. The main request, "need key to clear", is fulfilled. Working, just without a default binding. For the problem in bug 566192 I'm not even sure if the root cause is in Debug or UI.
