Description Eugene Chan CLA 2004-05-31 15:25:26 EDT
* Summary:
#32401
Tracker: Feature Requests
Description: GLA editor need to allow to set debug breakpoints in log files so
the user can run the rule up to the breakpoint to start debugging. This will
provide consistent debug behaviour

Changing Version/Target to 4.0 because it is one of the features committed for
4.0. You can see the official feature list here:
http://eclipse.org/tptp/home/project_info/featureplans/features.php?source=All&project=All&release=4.0&file=TPTPFeatures_4.xml
Comment 2 Valentina Popescu CLA 2005-02-21 20:40:15 EST
I don't understand when was this feature committed to 4.0
Looking at the feature history, it was never marked as in plan for 4.0.

Comment 3 Valentina Popescu CLA 2005-02-21 20:40:53 EST
Add cc Ruth since she updated the faeture target
Comment 4 Christine Knight CLA 2005-02-25 11:35:10 EST
Please ensure this either gets done in 4.0 or makes it into the 4.1 plan which
is what I asked for.
Comment 5 Valentina Popescu CLA 2005-02-25 12:48:59 EST
per discussions with Ruth, this is requested for 4.1
Updating version to 4.1

The user opens the adapter on the GLA editor and select a rule. Right click or
double click on the rule and a breakpoint is attached to that rule.
The user go to the Extractor Results view and click run. The sensor and
extractor are run on the specified log file and the GLA stops when the rule
where the breakpoint is encountered. The user hit run and the GLA runs the
adapter until it hits the next rule.
A variable window should be avaialble to see the rule values. The user can
update the regular expressions, save the file and the run should resume to the
same line.

Note that this debug scenario should be integrated with the current debug
capabilities. The user can specify from what record number to start debugging.

Deferring from 4.1 as per the official 4.1 enhancement plan.

Resolving as WONTFIX because it is no longer required by the consuming product.
