Description Mickael Istria CLA 2018-01-16 10:16:38 EST
"File > Convert delimiters to..." command would make more sense in the 'Edit" menu.

Big +1 for me.
Comment 2 Andrey Loskutov CLA 2018-01-16 10:30:23 EST
Makes sense for me too.
Comment 3 Lars Vogel CLA 2018-01-16 10:34:32 EST
In Bug 451487 I tried to move it to "Source", which was rejected. But "Edit" should be a good home.
Comment 4 Thomas Wolf CLA 2018-01-17 15:17:15 EST
Disagree. The command operates on the currently selected file(s), not on the currently active editor. Moving it to edit I would expect it to convert the currently active editor content, but that's not what it does.

If it operates on the file, it belongs into the "File" menu. If you want to have it in a global menu at all. It might make more sense in a context menu on the project/package explorer...

Then I agree that action shouldn't go to edit.
That said, I do still find those actions in the menu a bit confusing, and when I read "convert delitimeters to", I actually expect this action to happen in editor even if it's in File.
Would if make sense for some actions like this to be only in context menu?

Anyway, closing this specific issues. Other proposals could be tracked in other tickets.
