Description Stanislav Spiridonov CLA 2016-11-16 01:42:25 EST
In case if I have several editor windows open the "Close editor automatically" close most unused editor across ALL open windows. Sometime it looks unpredictably. Notably it it was last editor and it also closed the window and breaks the layout.

MAY BE will be better to have this limit per window? So if I have limit in 8 editors I can have 2 windows and each can have up to 8 editors.

At least it will be consistent with other editor commands like "Close all" and "Close others" that work in current window.

Furthermore, to not limit it to per-window (or even per part-stack) causes another side effect.
When the maximum number of editors is reached, the new editor is not opened in the current active part-stack, but in the part stack of the closed editor.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

This is an actual task.
