Description Richard Eames CLA 2016-05-31 12:53:57 EDT
Using the GTK theme, and I think reproducible on the classic theme, I noticed in 4.6 is that if there are side by side tabs, there is wasted vertical space above the tabs. In 4.5 the min/max buttons were in a small white strip above the tabs, in 4.6 the white strip is still there and now the min/max buttons are in the grey strip below it. When there is only a single tab, this grey strip also contains the tabs, however, when there are split tabs the tabs will reside in their own row leaving a lot of wasted vertical space directly above. (It's also quite jarring when switching between the two layouts.)

As an aside, when using gtk3 I no longer see the preview of where the tab will be dropped, should I report a separate bug for this?
