Description Rafael Chaves CLA 2003-03-24 18:25:37 EST
2.1 RC3b

The progress dialog shown when moving/copying resources shows a
message "Moving:" or "Copying:" but does not show anything after the colon (the
path for the resource being moved/copied should appear).

You can notice the label flickering (it is being updated), but the text does
not change.

To reproduce, move a large project using the resource navigator.

Annoying, but not a stop-ship for 2.1.

Investigate

Moving folders does show the folder name after the "Moving:" message.
When copying files or folders there is no "Copying:" at the bottom of the
progress dialog at all. Instead it says "Copying..." above the progress bar
where it says "Operation in progress" when copying projects.
The progress dialog should always say "Copy operation in progress"
with "Copying:" followed by the resource path/name and "Move operation in
progress" with "Moving:" respectively.

Not sure if you were able to reproduce or not, but just to confirm: I can
easily notice the problem I mentioned before ("Moving:" or "Copying:" labels,
with no information about resources) when moving/copying projects.

Yes, I did reproduce this.
Basically only moving folders gives you the desired progress information.

Reassigning to Nick since he is taking ownership of Navigator

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
