build RC2

-open the Eclipse workbench preferences
-press Alt+b
->the selection is toggled for he check box
-switch to the Appearance page
-switch back to the Workbench page
-press Alt+b
->this time the selection is not toggled for the check box.
It seems that the button selection is not always toggled once a different 
preference page has been selected. This seens to be related to bug 34720.

Which version of GTK?
Sounds like focus tracking problems.
