In the preference pages when I type a mnemonic I do not always get to the
desired widget. It sometimes takes multiple Alt+<key> strokes to select a widget.

I can not reliably reproduce this. It seems to happen when I switch to a page
e.g., Workbench/Appearance, activate a few widgets using their mnemonics, switch
to the Workbench page and activate a few widgets again. At some point I had to
press the same mnemonic key four times to select a widget.
