I would like to use similar hint in StyledText as the one we have in Text widget. 

I added the hint to the cvs history page using SWT.SEARCH style and Text#setMessage (bug 182920). I'm not able to do it for the commit wizard though. The wizard uses StyledText for which such API is not available.
