The "Compare with Other Resource" dialog may be handy, but in the current state it's too early to reveal it in "Compare With >" popup menu. The dialog will have to be removed from the menu, but when at least majority of bugs related to it get fixed it will be turn back on, ie the change made in this bug will be reverted. Until then, the current bug will be dependent on other bugs related to the dialog. In other words, the action should be either removed from the popup menu (temporarily) or most of the blocking bugs should be fixed. Even when removed from the popup menu, the dialog should still be available via a (custom) key binding.
We should at least remove the action from popup menu in 3.5, unless some of blocking bugs get fixed.

The dialog has been removed from the menu. Patch applied to HEAD, available in builds >N20090322-2000. I'm leaving the bug opened, since it's true nature is about re-adding the dialog to the context menu once blocking bugs are fixed (at least most of them). Nevertheless, I'm removing the Target Milestone and resetting the Assignee.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
