Description Gabriele Garuglieri CLA 2006-06-05 04:39:51 EDT
I have just installed 3.2RC7 and i've seen the help contents font has changed.
Now it's so small it is almost illegible.
Lower case letters are only 5 pixels high, can you imagine reading them on a 1600x1200 LCD monitor like the one i have?
I wear glasses, so may be it's my fault if i'm not able to read it any longer but i suppose eclipse is not meant only for well sighted people.

You should restore old character size or give a preference option by which we can change help font size.
Thanks.

I couldn't find any recent changes to the CSS that would affect font sizes. However there is a known problem where the CSS uses absolute font sizes, which means not all browsers can scale the fonts if you've specified you want to use large fonts.

The workaround for the moment is to change the help preferences to use an external browser, and your external browser must allow scaling of absolute fonts. The embedded browser, IE, does not allow this. One example of a browser that does is firefox.

Since these are very closely related I'll mark as a duplicate of bug 145540. Once that one is fixed it should automatically adjust to whatever size you set for your system fonts.
