Yeah importing old projects is really a two step process.
1. Import the old project into Eclipse if it isn't already there.
2. Right click on the project, and then select Configure->Convert
to Andmore Project.
That should take care of most of it. Ideally things are converted
as part of the Import wizard.
There is a FAQ entry that covers this:

Hi,
I remember that the most
confusing was the duplicated functionality that
originate from 1) MOTODEV Studio and 2) ADT. There were two
different project wizards. One of them (MOTODEV) did not
work at all. The second (ADT) worked, but then I had to do
some manual steps to make the project ready to launch in the
Emulator.
Importing old ADT projects was not fun too. Due to the
refactoring all IDs (like for natures) changed. Importing old
project does not work off the shelf.

Thanks Dave. Kaloyan, as the person who
created the package, are you having good success with it?
