[technology-pmc] RE: Phone call? Time to trim inactive projects?

Greetings. I've reviewed the list of projects [1] and have these
thoughts about the various inactive/somewhat active projects.

ALF - AlF seems to be still showing signs of life, at least in CVS.
Their web site needs to be updated to include a link to the project info
page. Project info page shows an anticipated June 30 release of ALF 0.8.
I recommend deferring any thoughts of shutting down this project until
the next cycle. I further recommend that we approach the project team
and ask them what they're doing about community development as their
website, newsgroup, and mailing list don't give me any sense that there
is a community.

Apogee - Seems pretty dead to me. Recommend trimming.

Kepler - Seems pretty dead to me. Recommend trimming.

Photran - Photran still seems active, at least in CVS (405 commits in
May). I recall discussion of moving this project to Tools. I recommend
that we encourage the move (I think it's a better fit anyway).
