[stp-dev] Internationalization of .properties file using Babel

Are you interested in having translations done of your plugin properties?
Or even better, are you interested in contributing to the translations
themselves? :)

The Babel Project [0] is there to allow a community make translations
of the message bundles and properties in plugins. Antoine has been
looking into adding some French translations to the BPMN component,
and you can see some of the conversations and activity that has been
going on at [1,2].

How does this concern you? If you are a component lead, you will certainly have noticed the 'babel' directory I've put on your trunk. If you want to
enlist your component in the Babel project, and hopefully get some
translations done, this directory is where you will need to put a Map
file that gives the details of your plugins. At this time, the Babel
guys are still working on the mechanics of pulling the details from
SVN, but they will get up and running soon enough - you can watch [2]
below to see how they are doing.

AFAIK, we have on this project people who can speak Chinese, German,
Dutch, French, Irish, Italian and Romanian at least, if not more.
Doing a few translation strings is always a worthwhile contribution!

(Ok, once the code passes all its tests ;-)

 cheers
