Subject: [stp-dev] Introduction

Hi all,

we are a team of four people who are about to start contributing some
stuff to the STP project. I'd like to kick this off with a short
introduction.

We are employees and contractors for SOPERA GmbH, a german company that
is developing and distributing the SOPERA ASF SOA platform. SOPERA also
initiated the Eclipse SOA Runtime project (
http://www.eclipse.org/swordfish/ ).

The people who will be working with STP-related topics are

Andrei Shakirin,
Alexei Markevich,
Alexander Tselesh and
Jerry Preissler

There are two main topics that we will start working on, with others to
follow:

Our first contribution will be our WS-Policy Editor. This editor
provides a look & feel similar to the WSDL-editor from WTP. The goal
with this contribution is to integrate our code with the policy editor
that David Bosschaert has contributed. The result should be an editor
for WS-Policy documents that can be used with configurable policy
assertions.

The next topic that we will be working on is deployment. Here we want to
provide extensions to the STP deployment framework that is currently
developed to create a deployment solution for the Swordfish project.

Apart from that, I'm personally interested in the work on the Hybrid
Model that has been started lately. As I understand, this is currently
passing the IP process, so I'll be sure to chip in with some questions
and comments once this is done and the discussion starts again.

That's it for now, we're looking forward to working with you folks.

Best regards

 Jerry Preissler
