It seems its only me, but I think 6 or 8 lines are equally ok if it helps you to nail down what your project is about. (I disagree that if it takes 8 lines, you dont know what you are doing :-) ) Not every project like Equinox can reference a well known keyword like OSGi which basically describes the whole project in one word :-)

For me the current length of Riena :-)  but also EclipseLink, RAP, Virgo, Gemini are equally ok. Why dont we revisit this topic once we have 20 projects or so. I find the current page length ok.

I would rather recommend (but dont force) people to NOT reference version info but rather stay on a more general description. So dont have stuff like we just did 1.3. and on Nov 23 we are going to do 1.4M8 (or whatever) or reference coming events in the coming month. That really belongs on the project page and not in an abstract about what a project is doing.
