Ah I see! That makes sense :)

Branch called ‘backport-java7’ created (origin from the 1.0.1 tag). Note that I haven’t done any updating of version numbers in poms or anything yet.

I don’t understand. Why would you need a 1.1 branch for a PR? New features and improvements all go into master.
