Hi
Thanks. Perhaps a bit more user focussed; what helps the user not
what you fought with. I don't know what a Transformation container
is.
I fell over the help page a few days ago. It would be good if it
had useful content.
Regards
Ed

I will have to do this later, but I agree that
it could be very useful.
Did you know that there is a "Black-box
implementation support" page for QVT Operational in the
Eclipse help?
Kind regards

I'll try and look at the 570407 branch before M3 tomorrow
(evening).

Hi Ed,
I can definitely provide these
descriptions. Where should I put them and what is the
deadline?
Since it represents a concrete user
problem, should we address https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=570407
as well?
Proposal pushed to https://git.eclipse.org/c/mmt/org.eclipse.qvto.git/log/?h=cgerking/570407.

Hi Christopher
5 Bugzillas pushed to master. Thank you for your efforts.
Can you please provide a user-focussed half-line
description of what is good/what is not bad about each
user-visible Bugzilla for the N&N.
And perhaps a paragraph explaining the general progress
on blackboxes, referring to a Wiki entry/Help
documentation if something more substantial is
appropriate.

Hi Chrstopher
I've rebased 5 of your branches so that they sequence
without complicated merges. Tests all pass.
Ready to push to master as soon as I can force push to
undo the Bug 566236 commits. If the webmasters don't
respond 'soon' we'll have to go for the revert commit
approach and rebase again.
You might want to double check
Java2QVTTypeResolver.java which had a non-trivial merge
conflict to resolve.

Hi Ed,
you were right, thanks for the hint.
So I will provide a rebased branch for
bug 566236 as well.

Hi
I've seen mismatching signer with the platform when
plugin and fragment come from different builds;
typically because the platform releng update the
plugin but fail to realize they must then force a
rebuild of the fragment. Bugzilla outstanding after I
was bitten a second time.
I've seen mismatching signer from Xtext when I
checkout a plugin and fail to checkout another plugin
that contributes to the same package as the other
plugin; dreadful releng practice. Bugzilla
outstanding.
I suggest avoiding any bonus checkouts in your
workspace and use a major platform release.

Ed

Hi

Done. The following branches are all
based on master. If I’m not mistaken, the first
one (bug 472482) had already been approved by you
(see bugzilla).
1. https://git.eclipse.org/c/mmt/org.eclipse.qvto.git/log/?h=cgerking/472482
2. https://git.eclipse.org/c/mmt/org.eclipse.qvto.git/log/?h=cgerking/562175
3. https://git.eclipse.org/c/mmt/org.eclipse.qvto.git/log/?h=cgerking/565747
4. https://git.eclipse.org/c/mmt/org.eclipse.qvto.git/log/?h=cgerking/566216
5. https://git.eclipse.org/c/mmt/org.eclipse.qvto.git/log/?h=cgerking/566230
I was also trying to set up bug
566236, but I can’t get QVTo’s standalone test to
run (class TestQvtStandaloneExecutor):
“java.lang.SecurityException: class
"org.eclipse.core.runtime.Plugin"'s signer
information does not match signer information of
other classes in the same package”
Do you have any idea what this is
about?
Kind
regards
Christopher
Hi
Just checking where we are. Seems that I created a
2021-03 (3.10.3)
release record.
Currently the only semi-non-releng tweak on master
is a deprecations fix.
If you rebase you contributions on master so that
they look ready, I can review them and may be we can
have a genuine progress for 3.10.3.
Regards
Ed
