Thanks, Beth, I got it. However, don't you think it's a bit redundant in Synchronized Project since it's only used in purely Remote Projects? By the way it confused me when I created the synchronized projects...

For a target Linux machine, we recommend "Linux GCC" toolchain for a
synchronized project.
"Remote Linux GCC" is intended for (purely) remote projects.
"Compatible" means the platform and compiler should match what you are
using on the target machine.
