It seems that both dltk (http://www.eclipse.org/dltk/) and pydev (http://pydev.org/) have a remote debugger.

If it is sufficient to look at one of the MPI processes this might be a solution. Of course not a really great one.

Depends what you mean by "support". If you want to run a python program on a remote machine supported by one of our resource managers, then this should work. I'm not aware of any parallel functionality in Python that we could help with though.
