Hi,

The ptp_orte_proxy agent is no longer used in PTP 2.1. It is only used in 2.0 and earlier.

Greg

Hello.

I have one problem. According to instruction, after sh BUILD in
plugins/ptp...linux... in the /bin/ directory should be a file
ptp_orte_proxy, that needs for launching Resource Manager.
But i don't have this file even after sh BUILD, so i can't launch Resource Manager.
Where can i get this file?

System: linux x86-64 with QLogic MPI as "primary" MPI and OpenMPI and
MPICH 1 and 2 as "second".

Hi,

I would recommend using Eclipse, but then I'm biased :-). I don't know of any other IDE that specifically targets MPICH2 or other MPI implementations. Eclipse PTP allows you to write, build, launch, and debug an MPI application all from within the IDE. There are also many features provided by Eclipse that simplify and aid application development.

Greg

I aim to develop MPI in MPICH2 ,which you can view at http://www.mcs.anl.gov/research/projects/mpich2/ (earned R&D 100)

My question is which IDE should i use for it ? Does eclipse ptp easen development for MPICH2 ?

any idea ?

Xavi,

There were some people interested in this a while ago, but I've not heard of any progress lately. If you were interested in helping out, then I'd be happy to give you more information about how to do it.

Regards,

Greg

Hi,

I have been looking for the support of PTP to SLURM and I saw some messages from JiangJie and Greg trying to implement this resource manager. Any one
knows what is the status of this development?

PD: I'll be out ofr a pair of weeks, so I'll follow the answers then.
Thanks and Regards.
Xavi.
