Re: [ptp-dev] Eclipse Juno SR2 and PTP 6.0.4 release is DELAYED

Hi Beth

This bug is in JGit, specifically, which is used by synchronized projects. So it
could possibly affect PTP directly, although I haven't experienced any problems.
(The buggy code seems to be basic, low-level functionality, so it is hard to say
whether it would have any impact on synchronized projects.)

So we may want to send out a stronger warning to users and developers who might be
using the developer builds, warning about potential problems with synchronized projects.
(Feel free to just forward this email if you like.)

Because of a critical bug in EGit, the Eclipse simultaneous release is being delayed... stay tuned, we'll let you know when we know more.
A complete re-spin would take a week or two, they say, but details are not firm yet.

This does not affect PTP directly, but it is a 'simultaneous' release, so we are also delaying our release of 6.0.4.
It does affect the parallel package, since we include EGit in it.
