Re: [ptp-dev] EPP package build for Kepler M4 - please test Parallel package (CVS Repos persp bug)

>What can we do to help ensure M5 has the correct pieces (and a chance of working)?
Test it as soon as I post that a build is available.

As soon as we get a new Kepler build working I'll see if we can get another build of the package for earlier testing.
However you should be able to take the existing one and apply a recent build on top of it.  This doesn't test that it will build correctly, but that what we think it should build with, works.
The builds are currently broken - looks like it has to do with the bumping of the version numbers to 7.0.0 but I can't be sure.

Our last M5 build will be Feb. 6.

I (sadly) deleted the package before any testing, between Chris, Greg and Beth, it seemed hopeless… and yes, the splash screen definitely sends a message.

What can we do to help ensure M5 has the correct pieces (and a chance of working)?

OK, "completely broken." Should have read this email first. :)

The Kepler EPP package appears to have a mixture of 6.0.3 an 6.0.4 PTP features, so is completely broken.

Testing downloaded zip on Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64.

    I tested:

Switched to CVS Repository Perspective, noticed the Task Repositories view is still broken (is that expected)? The view shows "Could not create the view: org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.ui.views.repositories"
Checked out Shallow from CVS as C project
Converted Shallow to remote synchronized project on Trestles
Built and ran shallow as a batch job on trestles
    Retrieved job output

I noticed that in the system monitoring perspective, after I select to show only my jobs, unselecting to just show my jobs doesn't have any effect unless I refresh the job monitor for trestles. Is that expected? I let it sit for a while, no refresh happened.

Checked out another copy of shallow, built and ran it as a local project using the OpenMPI-Generic-Interactive
Under Profiling, I selected the Performance Analysis tab, but I don't see any tools to select (usually see TAU and PPW_UPC). It just says "Specify a valid tool configuration file in Performance Tool preferences". I think something is missing.
