How do I "create my own product definition file, or adjust the one used in the aggregator"?
I've no experience in that.

Hi Kristof,

currently our SDK build does not use root level features, I opened
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=496629 for this. To
remove JDT from the build you would currently have to create your own
product definition file, or adjust the one used in the aggregator.

For your requirement you would also need to adjust and compile the CDT
plug-ins. I have no experience with building CDT.
