I've no particular opinion on this topic ... but, ... mostly unrelated ...
it some how reminds me of this disclaimer on  http://www.kernel.org/

"Changelogs are provided by the kernel authors directly. Please don't write
the webmaster about them. "

And if you've ever tried to read and understand them, you might see why the
webmasters might want that disclaimer :)
