Hi,

I agree, GTK3 is still not as stable as GTK2. On RHEL 7.2 is is usable
inside IDE (4.6.3) for daily work of our lab, but with some glitches
here and there. Right now we have only one critical issue (on RHEL 7.2),
that is with
https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__bugs.eclipse.org_bugs_show-5Fbug.cgi-3Fid-3D370215&d=DwICAg&c=jf_iaSHvJObTbx-siA1ZOg&r=1UITCR5rxUZHSFczvfaNFK4ymEbEiccRX7VKchpqz0Y&m=g3BYSiOyqXSa1qNPD3mwySAqwCcvFfOco0JpWn2G4dc&s=Dhv_tsAi276r0SicYAHWKqhlxOesjQ1dCbjDId-DH4w&e=, and
this is with all 4.x versions we used (4.6.3, 4.7.1, 4.8).

Here is my query for GTK3 bugs:
https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__bugs.eclipse.org_bugs_buglist.cgi-3Fbug-5Fstatus-3DUNCONFIRMED-26bug-5Fstatus-3DNEW-26bug-5Fstatus-3DASSIGNED-26bug-5Fstatus-3DREOPENED-26classification-3DEclipse-26component-3DSWT-26list-5Fid-3D16974223-26order-3Dbug-5Fid-2520DESC-26product-3DPlatform-26query-5Fbased-5Fon-3DGTK3-2520open-26query-5Fformat-3Dadvanced-26short-5Fdesc-3Dgtk3-26short-5Fdesc-5Ftype-3Dallwordssubstr&d=DwICAg&c=jf_iaSHvJObTbx-siA1ZOg&r=1UITCR5rxUZHSFczvfaNFK4ymEbEiccRX7VKchpqz0Y&m=g3BYSiOyqXSa1qNPD3mwySAqwCcvFfOco0JpWn2G4dc&s=yyMXMGVdw_NQiLEmXT2cpG4-4TKpvuMfK1U_cEv4vOs&e=

I would propose to create an umbrella bug with "GTK3 showstoppers" and
link all the "really bad" bugs to it. This way it will not get lost and
we will see some kind of GTK3 status. I've just created
https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__bugs.eclipse.org_bugs_show-5Fbug.cgi-3Fid-3D527444&d=DwICAg&c=jf_iaSHvJObTbx-siA1ZOg&r=1UITCR5rxUZHSFczvfaNFK4ymEbEiccRX7VKchpqz0Y&m=g3BYSiOyqXSa1qNPD3mwySAqwCcvFfOco0JpWn2G4dc&s=0OhXCk_FwHvzMEnIjkm6VxG_MIDrE0BEDZAXrqjw_TM&e=exact for this purpose.
