Re: [platform-swt-dev] AWT on top of SWT

Funny you should ask for that. <g>  OTI has been shipping such a beast since before 2001, as a technology download for VisualAge Micro Edition (now WebSphere Device Developer - Custom Edition) called "Personal Configuration".  It's been tested and release for most platforms that SWT runs on (specifically: Win32, PocketPC, Motif, Qt/E, QNX), and runs fine against multiple VMs (we run it with J9 of course).  You'll of course want to consult the license agreement for anything you might want to use it for.

Here's where you'll find it:

Hi,

I would like to know if there is (or at least if it
is possible) to write an alternate implementation of
the AWT on top of SWT.

Since SWT is VM independent it would yield a VM
indepent AWT which is quite interesting for reuse
by VM writers.

TIA.

Best Regards,
Rodrigo.
