[platform-releng-dev] when to do compiler update(s)?

By when? Now, with recent I build version? Or, after M7, using the one from M7?

I normally tell people "the compiler team takes pains to be done by M7 or RC1 so that
people can use the final version of the compiler to compile their own final versions"

Is that (still) accurate? Any specific plan or outlook?

Thanks,

People looking at the compiler logs of this build will find some new
warnings regarding enum switch statements (see [1]).

While these new warnings are valid you may want to know that some
of them will not be reported by default once we push a fix to a
follow-up bug [2]. I hope the JDT team gets the chance for one more
update of the builder so that you can benefit from getting a more
useful subset of the current warnings before starting to clean up
your code (or complaining about the new warning :) ).

best,
Stephan
