RE: [platform-doc-dev] Copyright notices
|
We have an updated graphic, should be the same size as the existing one. We
can check that though to make sure.
Opinions on keeping the gif file name & location the same (e.g.
images\ngibmcpy2002.gif) as opposed to changing it to reflect '03? Changing
it would require changing that line in every html file.
Theoretically, it would be nice to only update the copyright notice on
changed files but reality says just change it for all. When you buy an
updated technical book the copyright changes for the whole thing even
though only 50% of the pages changed.
Thanks, Jeanette

I think Tod was going to change the gif.
We agreed that the gif needs to be maintained at the same size. Last
release, it changed in size slightly and all the referring HTML had to be
updated with the new size...

Subject: [platform-doc-dev] Copyright notices
The user and ISV doc have copyright notices that are gifs. They say
2000, 2002. Is anybody providing updated ones, and do we know how we
are going to update them?
e.g. are we going to slam all of them or just update as we change the
doc itself?
For the user doc, the file is called
images\ngibmcpy2002.gif
The easiest would be to just change the image in that one file to say
"2000, 2003", although the file name would be wrong.
