[platform-ant-dev] .project & .classpath --> buildfile

Greetings,
I just had a discussion with a developer looking at the possibility of
moving to Eclipse & Ant from a gmake process. His major concern was that he
would have to maintain both Ant build files as well as the build in Eclipse
(.project & .classpath). In my experience setting up & maintaining a project
in Eclipse is a trivial operation but I believe his needs would be satisfied
by using IDEA which, I believe, uses Ant under the hood for its builds.
Yet it seems to me that from .classpath and .project files we have all we
need to generate an Ant build file. I am
