[platform-ant-dev] Ant Core development for Eclipse 2.1

In an effort to provide the Eclipse community with better Ant integtration
in the Eclipse SDK, the Ant Core and Ant UI components are being spun off
from the Core and UI teams respectively. This separation will give Ant the
focus and attention that it deserves in the Eclipse product.

Over the past few months, the primary developer for the Platform/Ant
component  and org.eclipse.ant.core project has been Rodrigo. He is
currently changing focus and moving his development efforts to another team
within Eclipse. This leaves a void in the Platform/Ant team and thus an
opportunity for someone to move in and take control of Eclipse Ant
integration and lead us to bigger and better things in the 2.1 development
cycle.

I nominate Darin Swanson for this position. Darin's years of experience
from working with the Debugger team will prove beneficial to the component
and, in conjunction with the work being done in the Ant UI area, will lead
to an Eclipse/Ant integration that will help us reach our goal of providing
a light-weight and easy process for a user switching from using just Ant to
using Ant within Eclipse.
