[photran] Post EclipseCON meeting

Title: Post EclipseCON meeting

I sent out the following email to the cdt-dev mailing list in regard to a post EclipseCON CDT meeting being
held on March 24, 2006 at Intel in Santa Clara, CA. Photran developers are, of course, welcome as well. As such, I wanted to make sure that any potentially interested parties who subscribe to the photran mailing list but not the cdt-dev mailing list are aware of the meeting.

Okay, there appears to be sufficient interest to go ahead with the post EclipseCON CDT
developer's meeting at Intel, so the meeting is on!

Please send a registration email to robert.monteleone@xxxxxxxxx if you are definitely
planning on attending. Include the number of attendees in your group who will be attending and include "Intel CDT meeting" in the title of the email. Please do this by February 23, 2006 at the latest, so plans and arrangements can be finalized.

Here are the logistics that have been ironed out, to date. An update to the logistics will be sent out as the event date draws nearer.

Ø Date: March 24, 2006 on the Friday of the week following EclipseCON 2006
Ø Time: TBD. The room is available all day, so I would assume that we should plan to start around 9:00 AM or  earlier, if we have a heavy agenda

Ø Where: Intel Corporate Headquarters in Santa Clara, CA

    Building - SC12
    3600 Juliette Lane
    Santa Clara, CA 95054

Rooms 154 C&D, just off of the SC12 Main Lobby
Ø Parking: There are Intel parking lots and garages within a reasonable proximity to the SC 12 building where you can leave your vehicle

Ø Lunch: Intel is planning on providing a complimentary lunch, will be catered to the meeting room
Ø Directions: Here is the address of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, adjacent to the Santa Clara Convention Center, where EclipseCON is being held. You can use the address in conjunction with the Intel SC 12 address, above, to obtain online directions between the venues:

    Hyatt Regency Santa Clara
    5101 Great American Parkway
    Santa Clara, CA 95054

Ø Security: Each attendee will need to have a valid id and will be issued a temporary badge. In addition, all bags and backpacks will be subject to search upon entry

Ø Agenda: TBD. The CDT community will set the agenda, with guidance from Doug Schaefer, Leo Treggiari etc. If you have topics you would like to discuss, submit them to the cdt-dev mailing list.

Subject: [cdt-dev] CDT contributors meeting announcement

If there is sufficient interest, Intel will host a one day meeting for CDT (& Photran) contributors and tool-chain integrators - that is, the same sort of meeting that was hosted by QNX in the fall. The meeting will occur on March 24, 2006 on the Friday of the week when EclipseCON will occur, at Intel headquarters in Santa Clara. Intel headquarters is less than 2 miles from the Santa Clara Convention Center, where EclipseCON is being held.

The meeting will allow the CDT developer community to interact and focus on CDT issues and is proposed in response to a perceived lack of available time during the EclipseCON conference for this purpose. The specific agenda and other logistics are to be determined.

If you would like to attend such an event, please reply to cdt-dev with the name of your company, the number of attendees, any presentations you would like to make, and any topics you would like to discuss. If there is sufficient interest, an updated message will be posted with more details, confirming that the meeting will be held. If you are seriously interested in attending, please respond as soon as possible to allow further plans to be made and confirmed.

Thanks,
Bob Monteleone and Leo Treggiari
