I'll need a little more to work with before we can approve.
What qualifications does Jan bring? Has Jan made any significant
contributions to the project already?

like "Jan provided us with a great contribution (bug xxxx) and has agreed to
come on board to support it" or "Jan is a giant in the field and our project
will benefit greatly from the added wisdom and guidance"
