This was a bit tricky to diagnose, so posting in case others have installed
the Eclipse target management tools (I use them for sftp).

The com.jcraft.jsch_0.1.29 JAR does not seem to work with 3.3M5, which ships
with com.jcraft.jsch_0.1.28.  Deleting that JAR from my runtime
configuration resolved the problem.
