Anthony,
thanks for sharing this information, I will follow along
this.
Just for reference and completeness: the guide how to add
contributions to Indigo can be found here: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Indigo/Contributing_to_Indigo_Build

Hi
Michael,
I
forgot to add
that you need to subscribe to Cross project issues
<cross-project-issues-dev@xxxxxxxxxxx> if you have not already.
Notes to
participants are sent there.
An
email went
out that http://wiki.eclipse.org/Indigo/Participating_Projects
needs
to be
updated. It would be worthwhile to check out the Cross project issues
for some
idea on how the simultaneous release works.
Cheers...
Anthony

Hi
Michael,
Setting the “simultaneousrelease” flag for Indigo in the Graphiti
project
metadata is it, you have now confirmed your intent.
Next step is to get your Graphiti contribution into the release.
You first need commit rights to the callisto project area , follow bugs
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=301077 and https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=322370 as a
guide on how to
request access.
Next you need to add your contributions, there is a guide for that
somewhere.
In terms of what is necessary to achieve this, both administratively
and
technically, Modeling projects more or less do most of what is asked as
requirements of the yearly release already. I have found that all you
are
really doing is making sure your milestones align with the simultaneous
release
milestones.
I am sure some others can add their experiences.
Cheers...

Graphiti getting part of the
Indigo release train
Sent by: modeling-pmc-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx
Hi all,
the Graphiti project (www.elipse.org/graphiti) would
like to be
part of the Eclipse release train for Indigo. We would like to be
installable
via the Eclipse Modeling Component Discovery and still be in incubation
state.
While talking to Ed at ESE about this he suggested to simply go forward
with
this, so I set the “simultaneousrelease” flag for Indigo in the
Graphiti
project metadata.
I would now like to ask for two things:
1) Are there any comments, concerns or hints regarding this
undertaking?
2) What is necessary to achieve this, both administratively
and technically?
I read through the requirements of the Eclipse yearly Simultaneous
Release (http://www.eclipse.org/indigo/planning/EclipseSimultaneousRelease.php) and
browsed through
the Modeling Wiki which gave me some ideas. What I didn’t really find
is a kind
of process description how to proceed (besides setting the flag).
Also very technical, how would we integrate our update site contents
(build by
Buckminster) into the common update site? In the Wiki I found some
process
descriptions, but they all seem to be Athena/PDE Build based.
Thanks,
Michael_______________________________________________
