[modeling-pmc] Graphiti getting part of the Indigo release train

Hi all,

the Graphiti project (www.elipse.org/graphiti) would like to be part of the Eclipse release train for Indigo. We would like to be installable via the Eclipse Modeling Component Discovery and still be in incubation state. While talking to Ed at ESE about this he suggested to simply go forward with this, so I set the “simultaneousrelease” flag for Indigo in the Graphiti project metadata.

I would now like to ask for two things:

1)      Are there any comments, concerns or hints regarding this undertaking?

2)      What is necessary to achieve this, both administratively and technically?

I read through the requirements of the Eclipse yearly Simultaneous Release (http://www.eclipse.org/indigo/planning/EclipseSimultaneousRelease.php) and browsed through the Modeling Wiki which gave me some ideas. What I didn’t really find is a kind of process description how to proceed (besides setting the flag).

Also very technical, how would we integrate our update site contents (build by Buckminster) into the common update site? In the Wiki I found some process descriptions, but they all seem to be Athena/PDE Build based.

Thanks,

Michael
