Hi all,
The builds are back to normal for now, and we (committers) can now restart the HIPP instance manually if required.
The Memory issue is probably not fixed, but the server has been cleaned up a little bit, which should help, at least.
I’ll keep monitoring the server status, and we’ll try to improve the Maven builds after the Mars release. And, of course, now that the builds are back online,
don’t forget to check the test results, and fix any regression as soon as possible :)
Regards,
Camille

Hi Camille,
My first proposition was probably not clear but I was talking about boosting Java at the OS level
ð
So it should also boost Hudson

Benoit
Hi,
It is not just the jobs which are failing. When a Job runs into an OOME, it may freeze, but this usually doesn’t prevent Hudson from running (And the job can still be killed manually, most of the time)
In this case, the whole Hudson instance is hanging, and Hudson itself is running into OOM Errors (Which means that I can’t even try to do some cleanup)
Hi,
The HIPP is back on line.
@Christian :
The test job looks fine [2] (still around 25 errors)
I think the problem is coming from OutOfMemoryError (see 1)
ð
We build too much plugins in one command
The easiest way would be too boost the HIPP (change JAVA_OPTS) (We may reuse the setting done by Ansgard)
ð
Does anyone know the procedure ?
The correct way would probably to split the build in small part to reflect more the architecture

Benoit

I wonder whether this Hudson problem could be caused by the fact that the diagram tests hang on a new pop-up menu that show on every invocation of a drag-and-drop command:
I’ve reverted the commits that introduced this pop-up menu so that we can all get back to running the diagram tests at least in our local development environments, but I have no expectation that this could fix whatever is
Hudson’s problem.

Hi,
I tried to restart the instance and got this exception [2]
So I filled a community bug [3]

Hi,
It seems to me that our HIPP instance is down see [1]

I will restart it in 5 min if the problem is still present.
