Hi Axel

About six months ago, there was encouragement for all Modeling projects 
to move to GIT and Buckminster.

We chose to go for Buckminster asap, but to delay GIT until EGIT was ready.

So all other things being equal we move to GIT the day after Indigo is 
released.

If you are familar with GIT, you can take responsibility for this 
transition. By then many other projects should have made the transition 
so there should be plenty of lessons learned to draw on.

Adolfo: presumably we can build 3.1.1 against GIT rather than CVS.
