Re: [mat-dev] MAT Participation in the 2019-06 release
|
I've succeeded in
updating the website for New and Noteworthy: https://www.eclipse.org/mat/1.9.0/noteworthy.html
I haven't put
any links to it yet.
Krum, do you still
have the build artifacts for 1.9.0.201906050844 to build a matching stand-alone
version? I've done a build since then.
I also notice
that the update site references are still to http://download.eclipse.org/mat/1.8/update-site/
so do we put the 1.9 updates there?
If we have a 1.9.1
do we then put an update in /mat/1.8/update-site, and have the features
then refer to /mat/1.9/update-site?
Or should we do
a 1.9.0+ build with the new and noteworthy and help changes and update
site changes (any any emergency fixes) and use that as the stand alone
build and also put that in the /mat/1.8/update-site and /mat/1.9/update-site?

Hi
Andrew,
Thanks!
The deadline for contributions to RC2 for +3 projects (like MAT) was yesterday.
The rest of the week is for building the EPP packages and for critical
fixes.
We
won’t be able to get the change in. We should nevertheless put the page
on the website. I can also try to do this, should I?
Regards,
Krum

I
have prepared a New and Noteworthy document for the help and have done
a build https://hudson.eclipse.org/mat/job/tycho-mat-nightly/847/
The change was for '541539: Simple batch mode comparison' as I also documented
batch mode processing.
Krum, if you think it is worthwhile please could you contribute this for
RC2
I'm having trouble adding the noteworthy.html to the MAT website but we
still have some time for that.
We should also check we are doing everything on our list: https://wiki.eclipse.org/MemoryAnalyzer/Contributor_Reference#Simultaneous_release_policies
Thanks,
Andrew Johnson

MAT Participation in the 2019-06 release
Sent by: mat-dev-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxx
Hi,
Just
a short update on our participation in the 2019-06 release:
-
I created a release record for MAT 1.9.0: https://projects.eclipse.org/projects/tools.mat/releases/1.9.0
-
Created in bugzilla a new version 1.9 and a milestone 1.9.0 – we should
use the latter to mark all Bugzilla tickets solved after 1.8.1, so that
they get properly displayed in our release record and build kind of release
notes
-
bumped the version to 1.9.0-SNAPSHOT and updated the visible copyright
messages with the current year
-
made this morning a contribution to 2019-06 M3 with the MAT 1.9.0 build
– the aggregation build is already done successfully
-
I’ll have to submit the IP Log for approval till end of the week
-
next up is RC1 on June 7
